Our Story
Haakan Hockey was founded in 2025 by Brandon Chin, a former travel ice hockey player and current adult league player who believes the hockey equipment industry is long overdue for change.
The problem is simple: premium hockey gear has become way too expensive, and it's making the sport unaffordable for too many players. There's an opportunity to provide quality equipment at reasonable prices—and that's exactly what we're doing.
By cutting out the middleman and selling directly to players, we deliver pro-quality gear without the markup. No retail overhead. No inflated margins. Just honest equipment at honest prices.
The name "Haakan" comes from Old Norse, meaning "high son" or "chosen one"—and that's exactly how we want every player to feel with our equipment in their hands. Elevated. Ready. Chosen to compete.
